VIOLENCE AND BLOODSHED

Civilization Crumbling Fast
End The World With A Blast
People Afraid Walking The Streets
Scums Have Their Day ‘Til They Run Into Me
Are You Ready
Livin In Fear Ain’t Livin To Me
I’m Armed With A Gun Defending The Free
They Blew It In Nam Shot Up My Friends
I’m Back In The Street The Fight Never Ends
I Was Born With A Gun In My Hand
I’ll Die For My Country
But I’ll Die Like A Man
Violence And Bloodshed
Now That Were Back To Animal Law
The Playback’s A Bitch I’m Paying All
All My Life I Been Waitin To See
Who’s Gonna Win Crumbs Or Me
Are You Ready
My Brother’s Still In Da Nang
Putting An Ad In The Back Of Kerrang
I’m Looking For People Who Just Wanna Kill
We’ll Go Back The Nam Cause No One Else Will
Land Of The Free
Home Of The Brave
Now That’s How It Is
And That’s How It Stays
Violence And Bloodshed

Relative sizes:

tanto (knife): 11 to 15 inches

tachi: 30 inches and over

katana: 26-30 inches

wakizashi: 16 to 23 inches

Note: Kenshin's sword is a Sakaba, which is basically a reversed Katana, but fighting with it is more difficult than with a Katana because the sword is duller on the edge that goes forward, therefore slower. The aerodynamics of a Sakaba are different than that of a Katana.

Katana swords

are the traditional weapon of Japanese Samurai. They're probably the most famous Japanese weapons, and are even called 'the soul of the samurai'. Katana are distinguished from broadswords for the extremely sharp edge and the slightly curved blade. The beauty of a katana appears on its blade and edge. Its graceful form and grim beauty has been fascinating many warriors. The short sword was called a wakizashi and was worn with the katana to form a "daisho" or matched set of long and short swords. Both swords were worn through the belt edge up. The "Tachi" was the long sword (longer than the katana) that was the predecessor to the katana. They were usually 80 centimeters long with a deep curve and were worn suspended from the belt by cords edge down.

SWORDS IN GENERAL

We all know that Kenshin uses a Sakabato - a reverse Katana blade - as his sword of choice. Since Sakabato swords are pretty rare, and they're Katana swords with a reversed blade, I thought I'd provide some additional information on Japanese Katana swords. If you're interested, please read on! (besides, most killing characters in RK use katana swords - Saitoh, Shishio, Soujiro for examples)
