11. PULL UPS Do your pull ups first with palms facing you and then away from you.
12. PUSH-UPS When doing push-ups, I suggest doing them on your fingertips. This will strengthen your hands and reduce injury to your hands. I suggest never doing push-ups on your knuckles because enough stress is given to the area when you are punching. For the beginner, I suggest doing your push ups with your knees on the ground. Some call these girl push-ups, but I use them to progress into the harder push-ups where you keep your body straight. Working out is not about being macho, it is about getting in shape in a safe and effective manner.
